Due to consistent growth of our client base and project pipeline we need to bring in talented individuals to join our Cloud Engineering Consulting team. As a Consultant you will be given responsibility for the technical delivery of projects. You will assist in assessment, design and implementation activities within clients, working on one major project or multiple smaller projects at a time.
You will be reporting into our Head of Cloud Engineering, working in team of 3, one of our Principal Consultants and a Senior Consultant on a 3 month rolling contract. You will be responsible for a wide range of activities including:
Trying to automate the install of a fairly complex third party built system, the tech it’s built on is about 8-10 years old (think XML/SOAP APIs rather than RESTful). The setup was originally using CF to scale out which mean a new server took 1-2 hours to be fully ready but we’ve managed to convert this to AMIs and take that time down to < 15mins. There’s lots more to do, plenty of Technical Debt to sort while still making sure the business priorities are met.
